Ce l'abbiamo fatta: la nostra iniziativa auto-organizzata di cittadini europei contro TTIP e CETA ha completato il suo anno e raccolto un numero record di 3,263,920 firme! Siamo felicissimi e molto grato a voi ea tutti coloro che hanno contribuito a questo successo! Questa mattina abbiamo dimostrato di fronte alla sede della Commissione europea a Bruxelles per insistere sul fatto che le nostre richieste siano soddisfatte. Vogliamo che i negoziati TTIP di essere fermato e che l'accordo CETA con il Canada non è concluso. Gli attivisti provenienti da tutta Europa aggiunti pacchi di segnature StopTTIP ECI su un enorme bilancia. L'altro lato è stato appesantito dalla sacchi di sabbia che mostrano i loghi di sostenitori TTIP - ma alla fine i cittadini voci semplicemente avuto più peso (come dovrebbe essere!). L'evento ha visto la partecipazione da un sacco di membri della stampa.  Per garantire che le nostre richieste si trasformano in realtà, dobbiamo aumentare la pressione! Questo Sabato, il 10 ottobre, migliaia di persone in tutta Europa si terrà in piazza a Berlino, Amsterdam, Londra, Atene e altrove. Ma anche dopo le proteste dobbiamo continuare: Il nostro movimento di protesta in tutta l'UE è cresciuto fino a oltre 500 organizzazioni e ha rotto un record firma dopo l'altro. Come passo successivo vogliamo mettere pressione sui nostri Parlamentari di non ratificare TTIP e CETA. Vogliamo anche creare una guida di un'azione contro CETA e sostenere referendum contro i trattati nei vari Stati membri dell'UE.

Dear friends, We did it: Our self-organised European Citizens’ Initiative against TTIP and CETA completed its year and collected a record number of 3,263,920 signatures! We are overjoyed and so grateful to you and all those who contributed to this success! This morning we demonstrated in front of the European Commission’s headquarters in Brussels to insist that our demands are met. We want the TTIP negotiations to be stopped and that the CETA agreement with Canada is not concluded. Activists from all over Europe added stacks of StopTTIP ECI signatures on a huge weighing scale. The other side was weighted down by sand bags displaying the logos of TTIP advocates - but in the end the citizens voices simply had more weight (as it should be!). The event was attended by lots of members of the press. To ensure that our demands turn into reality, we must increase the pressure! This Saturday, on October 10th, thousands of people across Europe will take to the streets in Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Athens and elsewhere. See below for more details on the International Days of Action. But even after the protests we must continue: Our EU-wide protest movement has grown to over 500 organisations and has broken one signature record after another. As a next step we want to put pressure on our parlamentarians not to ratify TTIP and CETA. We also want to create an action guide against CETA and support referenda against the treaties in various EU Member States. International Days of Action, October 10th to 17th Various information events and protests will take place all around Europe from the 10th of October. An action map featuring all events can be found athttps://www.trade4people.org/. For some events like the two large rallies in Germany and in The Netherlands or the activities in Brussels against the EU Summit there are seperate websites. Join in or organise something of your own! It is not too late to add your event to the action map (click the "+" - symbol on the bottom right hand corner of the map).
